Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 12 at the United Methodist Church in Klemme for Ethel M. Kreitlow, 72, who died at a Mason City hospital on January 9, 1987.

Rev. Herb Shafer officiated. Burial was in the Ell Township Cemetery at Klemme. Tenold Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ethel Marie, the daughter of Otto and Ida Olson Pringnitz, was born August 31, 1914 in Hancock County. She attended rural schools and graduated from Klemme High School. On January 21, 1939 she was united in marriage to Avron S. Kreitlow at Des Moines.

They farmed in rural Belmond for many years and she continued to live on the farm after his death in 1982 until ill health forced her to the Concord Manor Care Center at Garner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers: Ernest and Fred.

Surviving is her son, Donald Kreitlow of Belmond; and two brothers: Bernard Pringnitz of Klemme and Harry Pringnitz of Anita.

Casket bearers were Kenneth Kreitlow, Jr., Harry Pringnitz, Jr., Duane Pringnitz, Don Trca, Raymond Klein and Alan Jass.
