1918-1987

Services for Milvern W. Schoenwetter, 69, Klemme, who died October 6, 1987 at the Belmond Hospital, were held Friday, Oct. 9, 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Klemme with Rev. Herb Shafer and Rev. Barbara Shafer officiating.

Music was provided by Madelyn Priebe, organist and the Beiers, vocalists.

Honorary casket bearers were Merle Schoenwetter, Homer Schoenwetter, Forrest Langlitz, Wayne Schoenwetter, Francis Buseman and Virgil Stille.

Active casket bearers were Virgil Pringnitz, Laurice Lemke, Bill Velau, Jr., Marvin Schmidt, Merle Klinge and Alvin Meyer.

Interment was in Ell Township Cemetery in Klemme with Tenold Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.

Milvern W. Schoenwetter, the son of Victor and Lydia (Schuldt) Schoenwetter, was born July 8, 1918 in Liberty Township.

Milvern attended #8 school in Liberty Township and graduated from the 8th grade. Upon graduation he started farming with his father and brother.

Milvern enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and watching softball games. He was a life long member of the Liberty and Klemme United Methodist Churches.

He was married to Ethel Hollatz at St. John's Lutheran Church in rural Garner on March 13, 1949. They moved to a farm west of Klemme where they have lived for 36 years.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; a daughter, Joan Bruggeman and husband Calvin of Klemme; two sons, David and Robert Schoenwetter, both of Klemme; three grandsons, Andrew, Brian and Brandon; one brother, Raymond Schoenwetter and wife Iva Dell of Klemme.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
