Glen Bridges

KLEMME - Funeral services for Glen Bridges, 59, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church here. The Rev. George Brighton will officiate. Burial will be in Klemme Cemetery with Johnston Funeral Home of Klemme in charge.

Mr. Bridges died unexpectedly Wednesday at Hancock County Memorial Hospital. Born in Wright County near Dows, June 17, 1910, he was the son of Herman and Elizabeth Bridges. They moved to Klemme when he was a child. He was married to Valeria Koerner at Estherville April 12, 1935.

For many years he was employed at Klemme Hardware and had been in electrical and plumbing work since it closed.

He had served on the Klemme School Board and the Klemme Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving are his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Richard (Sharon) Gardner, Clarion; Mrs. Paul (Berleen) Olson, Williams; Mrs. Ed (Vicki) Whitman, Ankeny; Nyla, at home; three sons, Gaylon Bridges, Annapolis, Md.; Collyn, attending Mankato State College; Royce, in the U. S. Navy, two sisters and two brothers.
