Lewis Albert Larson
Lewis Albert Larson was born in Hancock county, Iowa, July 10, 1873 to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Larson. He passed away Thursday, August 31, 1922 at his home in Miller, Iowa. He obtained the age of 50 years, 1 month and 21 days.
On the 21st of October, 1894 he was united in marriage to Clara Halverson. To this union was born two daughters, Laura and Viola. Mr. Larson leaves wife, two daughters, parents, four brothers and four sisters, who together with more distant relatives and neighbors and friends mourn his departure.
Mr. Larson had been sick for some time. Early in the summer he was taken to a hospital but nothing could be done for him. He was taken back home a few weeks previous to his death, as he preferred to be home the short time he had left before answering the final call.
The burial took place Sunday, Sept. 3rd at 1:30 at the house and 2:30 at the Ellington Prairie church east of Miller, his pastor, Rev H. E. Okland officiating.
His body was laid to rest in Ellington Prairie cemetery to await the day of resurrection. Mr. Larson's funeral procession was one of the largest ever held in this congregation. The church was filled and nearly as many congregated around outside the church as were inside.
Mr. Larson was reared and remained until his death in the Lutheran Church.
