Mrs. Thora Schubert

BRITT - Funeral services for Mrs. Ernest (Thora) Schubert, 80, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Britt. She died Thursday in the Britt Nursing Home.

The Rev. Howard Eldrenkamp will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The Grupe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Schubert was born Oct. 16, 1890, to Soren and Ida (Nelson) Schubert. She attended Britt High School and was a teacher in the rural Britt schools and later in Crystal Lake.

On Sept. 16, 1915, she was married to Ernest Schubert in Britt, and they farmed northeast of Britt. Mr. Schubert died in 1933, and Mrs. Schubert moved to Britt in 1940. She has been a resident of the Britt Nursing Home for the past two years.

She is survived by two sons, Gordon of Garner, and Richard of Britt, along with 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Mrs. Schubert was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Harold, and two sisters and three brothers.
