ABSTRACTED OBITUARY from Forest City Summit, May 14, 1959

Herman Schmid, 53, died May 5 at his home near Woden.

Born June 22, 1905 at Elkton, S.D., son of Chris and Anna Wolf Schmid. Married Leta Kingsbury of Forest City June 22, 1931.

Surviving are his wife, a foster son, Robert Smith, his mother, Mrs. Anna Schmid, who made her home with them, a sister, Mrs. Tolbert (Esther) Olson of Thompson; and 1 brother, Clarence of Crystal Lake.

Preceded by his father, a son, Richard in 1935 and a sister, Mrs. Marie Johnson.

Services at Crystal Lake Methodist church with burial in the Crystal Lake cemetery.
