ABSTRACTED OBITUARY from Forest City Summit, Mar. 12, 1959

Harrison Taylor, long time resident of the Hayfield area and more recently of Forest City died Friday at Mason City.

Born July 7, 1888 near Atlantic, son of Benjamin and Ida Taylor. Moved with his family to Estherville in 1892 and was married June 21, 1911 to Elsa Stollenberg. Lived at Gruver, Hayfield and Forest City.

Survivors include his wife, Elsa; 4 sons, Merle, Brewster, N.Y.; Neil of Auke Bay, Alaska; Owen of Clear Lake and Ivan of Ottumwa; 1 daughter, Mrs. Virgil (Bernice) Sellers of Miami, Fla., 4 brothers, Rev. Corwin Taylor of Fort Dodge, A. C. Taylor of Hayfield, Henry C. Taylor of Independence, Kans., and Asa R. Taylor of Pacific Palisades, and a sister, Mrs. Amy Bodie of Portland, Ore. Also 17 grandchildren.

Preceded by his parents and 1 sister.

Services at the Methodist church, Forest City with burial in Madison cemetery.
