ABSTRACTED OBITUARY from Forest City Summit, Feb. 9, 1961

James Benesh, 79, died Monday at Britt. Survived by his wife, 2 sons, Joseph of Garner and James Jr. of Hollywood, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. John (Mary) Peterson of Forest City.

Services at Boughton funeral home at Britt.

James Benesh services set Thursday in Britt

Britt - James Benesh, 79, died Monday morning at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital. Born Jan. 5, 1882, in Bohemia, he was the son of Joseph and Antonio Senek Benesh. He was married in Chicago in 1909, to Marie Varina. They farmed north of Duncan since 1917.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Joseph, Garner; James Jr., Hollywood, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Mary) Peterson, Forest City; two grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Bessie Balic, Yugoslavia.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Boughton Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul W. Adix of the First Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery with Boughton Funeral Home in charge.
