ABSTRACTED OBITUARY from Forest City Summit, Nov. 10, 1960

David Andrew Hosier, 73, died Saturday at his home in Forest City.

Born Feb. 8, 1887 at Creston, son of Sam and Josie Hosier. Lived at Creston until June 2, 1907 when he married Cora Mae Batton. They farmed near Cromwell until 1915, then moved to Lakota, then to Buffalo Center and Swea City and in 1941 to Forest City.

Survived by his wife, two sons, Harvey of Forest City and Charles of Des Moines, 1 sister, Mrs. Sylvia Pearson of Portland, Ore., 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.

Preceded by his parents and 1 sister.

Services at First Methodist church in Forest City with burial in Madison township cemetery.
