ABSTRACTED OBITUARY from Forest City Summit, Nov. 10, 1960

Homer Farrell, 60, of Crystal Lake died Friday.

Born Aug. 22, 1881 in Iowa country to William and Mary Elizabeth Farrell, Married Lucy Pelton in 1922 at Wesley.

Surviving are his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Springer of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Joy W. Horton of Honolulu, Hawaii., 1 son, Loren of Crystal Lake, 2 sisters, Mrs. Blanche Shelton of Kanawha and Mrs. Lotta Holler of Humboldt, 12 grand chlidren and 8 great great grandchildren.

Services at Boughton funeral home in Britt with burial in Corwith cemetery.

Crystal Lake man dies at 79; Rites pending

Britt - Homer Farrell, 79, Crystal Lake, died Friday at the Hancock Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are pending at the Houghton [Boughton] Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the Corwith Cemetery.

Born at Millersburg he grew up in the Corwith area, He was married Aug. 5, 1908, to Lucy Pelton at Wesley. They farmed near Corwith and Britt and moved to Crystal Lake in 1950.

Surviving are his wife, a son Loren, Crystal Lake; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Charlotte) Springer, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. J. W. (Joy) Horton, Honolulu; 12 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Blanche) Shelton, Kanawha; Mrs. Leota Hollar, Humboldt.
