ABSTRACTED OBITUARY from Forest City Summit, Sept. 29, 1960

Clarence J. Hodson died Friday at Forest City hospital. He was 77 years old and a long time resident of Forest City.

Born Apr. 29, 1883 at Waukee, the son of George and Anna Armstrong Hodson. He married his wife, Clara at Des Moines, Oct. 10, 1906. Farmer.

Surviving are his wife, a son, Marion of Forest City, 2 daughters, Mrs. Lyle Cottington of Laguna Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Randolph Thorland of Twin Lakes, Minn. and a sister, Mrs. Burt Barnett of Spokane, Wash.

Preceded by his son, Dean, 2 children in infancy, his parents, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Services at Methodist church in Forest City with burial in Madison cemetery.
