Garrelt Rieken services set in Woden church

Woden - Garrelt Rieken, 88, a pioneer resident of this community, died Sunday at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 26, 1875, in Germany, he came to this country when 10. He was married March 8, 1900, to Anna H. Kuschel. She died in 1962.

Surviving are two sons, Carl and Richard, both of Woden; four daughters, Mrs. John (Cora) Gerdes, Woden; Mrs. Caroline Steenfeldt, Forest City; Mrs. Albert (Anna) Green, Britt; Miss Marie Rieken, Woden; nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, a brother and five sisters.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church here preceded by a family service at the Boughton Funeral Home in Britt.

Burial will be in Bingham Township Cemetery.
