Britt woman dies at Mason City

Britt - Mrs. William J. Madole, 89, a pioneer Hancock County resident, died Tuesday night at the Good Samaritan Home, Mason City. She had been a patient there two weeks.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Boughton Funeral Home here. The Rev. Warren Price of the Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Britt.

Born Rosa E. Miller, March 31. 1879 in Hardin County, she was the daughter of Jacob and Harriet Ballard Miller. She was married May 11, 1892, at Gifford. The couple farmed north of Britt and northwest of Woden until retiring to Britt.

Survivors are her husband, two sons, Fred A., Mason City; Glenn W., Webster City; two daughters, Mrs Bessie Eisenmann, Grand Island, Neb.; Mrs. George (Ethel) Oakes, Britt; 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
