James E. Harvey

Britt - James E. Harvey, 32, died Thursday afternoon at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital after suffering a heart attack on the Forest City golf course. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Methodist Church preceded by a prayer service at Boughton Funeral Home. Masonic services will be held at Boughton Funeral Home Saturday at 8 p.m.

Born Jan. 4, 1931, at Britt, he was the son of Walter C.and Pearl Hoskins Harvey. He was graduated from Britt High School, attended the University of Iowa three years and was graduated from Drake University. He served in the Air Force two years and was married to Lila Rust, July 6, 1952.

A partner with is father in the W. C. Harvey Insurance Agency, he was president of the Britt Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Lions Club, Britt Golf Association and the Britt School Board.

Surviving are his wife, three sons, Monty, 10; Scott, 7; Todd, 4; his parents, a brother, Dr. Jerry Harvey, Des Moines; a sister. Mrs Eugene (Mary Jane) Swanson, Lansing, Mich.
