Tuesday rites for victim of auto accident

Garner - Funeral services for Gene Lee Hanson, 16, will be held Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. at the Miller Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Madison Township Cemetery with Olson Funeral Home, Forest City in charge.

Hanson, a student at Garner High School, was killed Thursday night in a two car accident at Miller, six miles north of Garner. His car was hit broadside as he turned into Miller off the blacktop road.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hanson; four brothers, Arlo and Joel, both of Garner; Ronald, Clarion; Carroll in the U.S. Navy.
