Services for Michelle Eileen Fitting Kroese, 18, of Britt, who died Monday, May 12, 1986; the result of and auto accident northwest of Wesley, were held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, May 15, at First Lutheran Church in Britt with Rev. James Mattson as officiant.

Mrs. Tom Buns served as organist. Mrs. Marjorie Weed accompanied the Senior Girls Trio, composed of Michelle Harle, Amy Neswold and Sandy Carter. Ushers were Don Dallman, George Alke, Norman Madson and Don Weiland.

Casketbearers were Jim Gordon, Brian Florea, Rob Prescott, Doug Pannhoff, Doug Day and John Durgin, Jr.

Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery at Britt. Visitation was held at the Cataldo Funeral Home in Britt.

Michelle Eileen Fitting Kroese, the daughter of Mrs. John (Patti) Wilson Noethe and Michael Fitting was born Feb. 4, 1968 at Sibley. She was baptized at Sleepy Eye, Minn. and confirmed April 24, 1982 at First Lutheran Church in Britt. Shelly attended school at Sanborn, Floyd Valley and after October of 1981, at Britt.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Britt. She was involved in school activities; Pep Club, Art Club, Student Educational Service, Girls Glee Club, Library staff, Annual staff, played basketball as a freshman and sophomore and had received the "Outstanding Photographer's Award" at Britt High School. For two year, Shelly had worked as a "volunteer" at Westview Manor Care Center.

She is survived by her parents, John and Patti Noethe of Britt and Michael Flitting of Blaine, Minn.; her sisters, Pamela Rae Kroese, Amy Sue Kroese, Merri Jo Kroese and Jolyn Danielle Noethe, all at home; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Wilson of Hawarden and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gibbons of Sanborn; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Flitting, Sr. of Watertown, S. Dak.; her great grandparents, Mrs. Elsye Harms of Sleepy Eye, Minn. and Mrs. Jessie Wilson of Hawarden.
