Allen E. Manion
Garner - Funeral services for Allen E. Manion, 83, will be held from the Bohn Funeral Home in Garner at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. H. Allen Wirtz, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church of Garner, will be in charge. Interment will be in the Concord Township Cemetery. The Bohn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Manion died at the West View Nursing Home in Britt Monday evening where he had lived the last year.
The son of Thomas and Lucinda Manion, he was born at Sullivan, Mo., Jan. 31, 1881. In recent years he has been living at the Albert Kramer home near Garner.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Tom (Jean) Jeffries, Fort Worth, Tex.; a son, Bill, Pierrine, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Hattie) Weirs, Webster City; Mrs. Harry (Pearl) Rommelman, Sullivan, Mo.; one brother; Ross, St. Louis, Mo.; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Loretta; four brothers and four sisters.
