Double Funeral Is Held at Garner for Mr. and Mrs. J. Knop

Garner, Jan. 11 - A double funeral for an aged couple, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Knop, was held here in the M. E. church yesterday afternoon with their pastor, the Rev. H. R. Wrede, of the Lutheran church, officiating.

Mrs. Knop died New Years day and because of awaiting the arrival of their daughters, Mrs. Lenz - Harvet, San Jose, Cal., it was possible to hold the services of Mr. and Mrs. Knop at one time. Mr. Knop died six days after the death of his wife. The couple had been married 57 years.

Mr. and Mrs. Knop are survived by three sons; Albert, Clear Lake; Gus, on a farm near here, and Herman, Hastings. Their only daughter, Mrs. Martin Halvert, San Jose, Cal., was a resident of Mason City several years.
