Mrs. F. Houdek succumbs at 74; Rites at Duncan

Duncan - Mrs. Frank Houdek, 74, died Sunday at the Hancock Memorial Hospital, Britt. She had been in failing health a year.

Bessie Krejci, daughter of Vincent and Katherine Nedved Krejci, was born in Chicago, March 10, 1887. She came to Duncan when 9 and was married Feb. 25, 1908. They farmed south of Duncan all their married life.

Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Boland, and a granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a brother, William, and two sisters, Georgeann and Mary.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Church, Duncan. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Hradecky will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery here. The Rosary will be said Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Boughton Funeral Home, Britt.
