Former Garner Resident Dies

Conduct Funeral of Mrs. Anna Hartke, 86, in M. E. Church

Garner - Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Hartke, 86, a former Garner resident, were held Sunday at the Methodist Episcopal Church in Garner with the pastor, the Rev. V. V. Schuldt, officiating.

Mrs. Hartke died Thursday at the home of an adopted daughter, Mrs. Clarence Bernhard, at Monona, with whom she had made her home in recent years. The body arrived here for burial Sunday.

Pallbearers were Will Kraus, Will Gast, Will Meckstroth, Fred Steiff, Fred Blackstone and Henry Moll. Burial was made at Concord cemetery.

Among surviving relatives in Garner are Mrs. Minnie Josten, a sister, also Mr. and Mrs. Ted Tokheim, Mr. and Mrs. Art Kluckhohn, Mrs. Howard Dusenberg and Mrs. Louis Abele of Liberty township. Mrs. Hartke also had numerous relatives at Klemme and was an aunt of Mrs. Charles Busch of Mason City.
