Ben F. Greiman, 72, died at his home Friday Feb.7,1963, following an illness of several months.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. at the Bohn Funeral Home and at 2:00 at the Peace Reformed Church Saturday, Feb.9. The Rev. Chester Ploeger officiated using Hebrews 9:27,28 as his text. Mr and Mrs Vincent Woiwood sang "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "Abide With Me," accompanied by Miss Nancy Huenemann.

Interment was made in Peace Reformed Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wayne Schlawin, Leon Lemke, Herbert Greiman, Glen Lange, Jess A, Chase and Merlyn Upmeyer.

Benjamin Franklin Greiman was born Dec 29,1890, the son of William F. and Dora (Lau) Greiman. In infancy he received the sacrament of Holy Baptism in the Liberty Methodist church, southwest of Garner, and on Dec.25, 1906 he became a member of the Peace Reformed church by rite of confirmation, with the Rev. John Gaterman as pastor. He remained a member of Peace church until his death.

On Aug. 12, 1914 he was united in marriage to Nettie Griffen at the Methodist parsonage in Garner, by the Rev. August Panzula. After their marriage they settled on a farm in Liberty Township which has since then been their home. They were the parents of three sons and five daughters.

Mr Greiman took great interest in horticulture; had patented a number of inventions, some of which were produced on a nation-wide scale, and was well known for achievements in hunting, bowling and other sports.

He is survived by his wife Nettie; seven children, Floyd, Garner; Mrs Dale (Marie) Anderson, Clear lake; Mrs George (Dorothy) Wilson; Swaledale, Walter, Lake Mills; Verne, Mason City; Mrs Richard (Donna) Finders, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs Lew (Nellie) Flagler, Lawton, Okla.; twenty grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Four brothers, William, Goodell; Henry, Klemme; Aaron, Garner; Reuben, Jewel; and six sisters, Mrs. Dora Gesswein, Chicago, Ill,; Mrs Daisy Lemke, Klemme; Mrs Ed (Esther) Fritsch, Garner; Mrs Albert (Louise) Etchen, Klemme; Mrs Fred (Hulda) Etchen, Goodell; Mrs Carl (Martha) Swanson, Britt, and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
