Hazel Kluver, Clarion, Dies
Was Cashier, Vice President of Bank; Dies at Rochester

Crystal Lake - Hazel Kluver died Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at a hospital in Rochester where she submitted to a surgical operation last week.

Hazel had been in Clarion for several years where she was cashier and vice president of the bank there.

She is survived by her mother and two brothers. She was the daughter of Herman Kluver, prominent farmer, who died last July after a highway accident. Funeral arrangements have not been made.

Hazel Kluver Rites Held at Crystal Lake; Burial Is Made

Crystal Lake - Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Methodist church for Hazel Kluver, who died Tuesday morning at a hospital in Rochester, Minn., where she had undergone an operation a few days previous. Burial was made in the family lot in the Crystal Lake cemetery.

Hold Rites Of Bank Official
Clarion Woman Vice President of Bank, on Education Board

Crystal Lake - Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church for Hazel Kluver who died April 18 at a hospital in Rochester, Minn., where she had undergone an operation a few days before.

Hazel was born Feb. 5, 1900, as the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kluver and was reared in Crystal Lake. She received her grade education here. She attended Waldorf college, Iowa State Teachers college and Hamilton Business college. She taught a few years in the rural schools in this community. She had been associated with the bank at Clarion, serving as assistant cashier, and for the past six years as vice president. She was president of the Federated Woman's club and treasurer of the board of education at Clarion.

Pall bearers and singers were all friends of Miss Kluver from Clarion. The services were conducted by the Rev. H. E. Harvey of Clarion and the Rev. Miriam Hotchkiss, local pastor.

She is survived by her mother, two brothers, Glen and Orville, three nieces and two nephews. Her father preceded her in death last July when he was killed in a highway accident, a sister died several years ago. Burial was made in the family lot at Crystal Lake.
