Even Arneson Dies At Woden

Winnebago Pioneer Will Be Buried Wednesday at Crystal Lake

Crystal Lake, Dec. 8 - Funeral services for Evan Arneson who died Sunday at Woden will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church with the Rev. I. C. McNulty in charge. Mr. Arneson was one of the first pioneers of Winnebago county and settled in Forest City when there were less than 10 buildings. He leaves Anton Arneson, Minneapolis; Mrs. A. W. Bingham, Woden; Mrs. A. R. O'Shana, Mason City, and Mrs. Roy W. Wallace, Crystal Lake.

Rites for Even Arneson, Winnebago Pioneer, Held at Crystal Lake Church

Crystal Lake, Dec. 11 - Funeral services were held for Even Arneson at the Methodist church, preceded by services at the A. W. Bingham home in Bingham township. The Rev. I. C. McNulty was in charge. Mr. Arneson was born in Larvick, Norway, Nov. 28, 1840 and was united in marriage to Anna Christine Holverson at Skein, Norway. The two came to America, first settling in Waqupon, Wis., then in Forest City when it was but a village. Mr. Arneson was in the real estate business. He settled in Lindon township and lived there until the death of his wife May 12, 1915. He since made his home with his children.
