Garner Woman Dies at Mason City Hospital

Garner - Zelma A. Hammon, 51, Wife of Alexander T. Hammon, rural mail carrier out of Garner died at a Mason City hospital Wednesday evening from complications following a major operation.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church, the Rev. E. F. Broberg, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Concord township cemetery.

Surviving are the husband, 2 sons, Lowell E. Coral L., and Laurel D., of Garner; 4 sisters, Doris Hanan, Garner; Geneva Hanan, Freeport, Ill.; Mrs. Marjorie Jones, Tucumcari, N. Mex., and Lillian Lea Filby, Des Moines, and a brother, Ernest J. Hanan, Fredericksburg. There are 2 grandchildren.
