Fred Cornish Services Held
Rites Conducted at I.O.O.F. Chapel

Funeral services for Fred Andrew Cornish, 88, who died at the I.O.O.F. hospital at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, following a short illness, were held Wednesday afternoon at the I.O.O.F. chapel, with the Rev E. W. Wendland, pastor of the Grace Evangelical church officiating.

Mr. Cornish was born March 25, 1863, at Boise, Iowa [ Idaho ]. He spent most of his life at Boise until he retired from farming. He then moved to St. Paul, where he lived a short time before entering the home in 1948. He was a member of the Garner Lodge 692, I.O.O.F.

Surviving are his brother, Eugene Cornish, Merrill, Wis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Fenniger Cornish.

Interment was at the Evergreen cemetery at Garner. The McAuley and Son funeral home was in charge.

Fred Cornish, Former Garnerite Dies Tuesday; 10th

Fred Cornish, who formerly lived in the Garner community, died in the I.O.O.F. home at Mason City Tuesday afternoon, July 10.

Funeral rites were to be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m., July 11, at the Odd Fellows home, Mason City; then the body was to be brought to Garner for burial. Interment was to take place in the Concord cemetery, with the graveside services in the charge of the minister and I.O.O.F. lodge.
