Magnus Anderson dies at 82; Rites Tuesday

Garner - Funeral services for Magnus Anderson, 82, will be held at the United Presbyterian Church in Garner at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. H. Allen Wirtz will officiate. Interment will be in the Concord Township cemetery, Garner, with the Bohn Funeral Home in charge of the service.

Anderson died Saturday at the Hancock County Memorial hospital in Britt following a lingering illness. The son of John and Maren Anderson, he was born May 27, 1878, at Lolland, Denmark. At the age of three he came to the Garner vicinity with his parents. Sept. 23, 1914, he was married to Margaret Rasmussen. They lived on a farm near Garner until 1942 when they retired to their home here.

Survivors are his wife, two sisters, Mrs. N. A. (Mary) Hanson, Anamosa; Mrs. L. B. (Emma) Olson, Garner; a brother, John G. Anderson, Ventura.
