Retired Farmer Dies; Rites to Be Saturday

Britt - Fred Albert Schoneman, 88, prominent retired farmer of Britt, died Wednesday night after a long illness.

He was born in Germany July 22, 1855, and came to the United States 67 years ago. He was married in 1884 to Caroline Steiff at Forest City. Mr. Schoneman was the last of a family of 3 children.

Surviving are the following children; Mrs. Bernard Jones, 142 15 St. N.W., Mason City, Vally of Independence, Bert of Garner, and Robert of Britt. Arthur is deceased.

Funeral services will be held at the Bethel Baptist church at Britt Saturday at 2 p.m., the Rev. B. A. Rust, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

The Boughton funeral home is in charge.
