Mrs. Galloway Service Friday

Had Suffered Broken Hip on January 17

Britt - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lucy Galloway, who died Tuesday, will be held Friday afternoon with a prayer service at 2:15 o'clock at Boughton's funeral home and at 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist church with the Rev. C. K. McNary officiating.

Mrs. Galloway was born March 8, 1856 at Lone Rock, Wis., the daughter of Moses and Susan Brown. She was married Oct. 31, 1883, to Matt Johnson, who preceded her in death in 1902. She was married Oct. 18, 1909, to George Galloway who died April 4, 1932. She was a graduate of the Wisconsin university at Madison and was a member of the Methodist church and the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Galloway fell at her home Jan. 17, breaking her hip. She was taken to a Mason City hospital where she was a patient until the past week when she was brought to her home here. She had lived in the Britt vicinity the past 67 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Mabel Johnson Curtis of Amarillo, Tex., and Mrs. Frances Johnson Harner of Mason City; and an adopted son, Paul Minor Johnson of Muskogee, Okla; a brother, Charles S. Brown of Dayton, Tex.; three granddaughters and three great grandchildren.
