Ostercamp Dies as Result of Farm Accident

Wesley - Fred Ostercamp, 73, died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn., of injuries suffered in a farm accident, June 27. He had been run over by a farm tractor while making hay. He had been hospitalized in Britt since the accident until being taken to Rochester Monday. Cause of his death was a blood clot following amputation of his arm.

Born Sept. 22, 1884,in Aplington, he was the son of Ude and Meemke Frie Ostercamp. He came to Hancock County in 1894. He was a member of the Christian Reformed Church, southwest of Woden. He had never married.

Survivors are a brother, Herman, Wesley, and a sister, Mrs. John (Tillie) Behrends, Mountain Lake, Minn. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Sam, John and George, and two sisters, Katherine and Marie.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Woden Christian Reformed Church, preceded by a prayer service for the family at Boughton Funeral Home, Britt. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Britt.
