Ben Isebrand rites Wednesday at Woden church

Titonka - Ben Isebrand, 77, died Sunday at the Good Samaritan Rest Home in Rockford. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Blake Funeral Home, Titonka, and at 1:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, Woden. The Rev. I. S. Hayenga will officiate.

Born May 27, 1883, on a farm in Kossuth County, he was married in June, 1904, to Gertie Geerdes at Steamboat Rock. They farmed there and at Woden until retiring to Titonka about 10 years ago.

Surviving are his wife, five sons, Henry and Orville, Woden; John, Albert, and Clarence Titonka; three daughters, Mrs. Leslie (Anna) Bentley, Pomona, Calif.; Mrs. Herman (Bernice) Tjarks, Titonka and Mrs. Lloyd (Grace) Bentley, Mondovi, Wis., 20 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters.
