Rites Friday at Garner for Mrs. G. Hejlik
Garner - Funeral services for Mrs. George C. Hejlik, 74, will be held at the St. Boniface Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Friday, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. W. Hradecky officiating at requiem high mass. Interment will be in the St. Boniface Catholic cemetery west of Garner with the Bohn Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Hejlik died early Wednesday at a hospital in Mason City where she was admitted on Sunday.
Florence Eva Leonard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Leonard, was born Oct. 16, 1880, at Grundy Center. She was united in marriage with George C. Hejlik at Britt on April 24, 1906. To this union two sons, Ray and Robert, were born. For the past 47 years the family has lived in this vicinity.
Mrs. Hejlik was active in her church and its organizations and was a charter member of the local chapter of the C.D. of A. and held various offices in the organization through the years. She was also a member and active in the Rosary Society, Ladies Guild, Ex-Farmers Homemakers and the Royal Neighbors.
Survivors are her husband; two sons, Robert and Ray of Gardenea, Calif.; a sister, Mabel Daniels of Clear Lake; one brother, Norman Leonard at Bucyrus, Ohio; two grandsons and five granddaughters.
