F. C. Heberlein Services Held
Former Emmetsburg Man Was Salesman for 30 Years
Emmetsburg - Funeral services were held here Wednesday afternoon for F. C. Heberlein, 67, former Emmetsburg and Pocohontas grocer, who died Sunday at Iowa City following a long illness.
Services were conducted by the Foy funeral home at the Congregational church, with the Rev. George Ingle officiating. Burial was in a cemetery at Britt. Members of the Knights of Pythias attended the funeral in a body, and six of the members acted as pallbearers.
He was a salesman for about 30 years, after which he opened as meat market at Pocohontas and maintained it for a few years. He came to Emmetsburg about nine years ago, entering into partnership in the meat business with E. A. Aim. Later he operated a grocery store here by himself.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Frederick Heberlein of Emmetsburg, and the following brothers and sisters: E. A. Heberlein, F. H. Heberlein. Mrs. Margaret Reilly, Mrs. Mina O'Hara, Mrs. Sadie Morrison, and Mrs. George Earle, all of Fennimore, Wis.; J. A. Heberlein of Minneapolis, and J. W. Heberlein of Hollywood, Cal.
