Mrs. Nora Hansen Rites Wednesday at Britt Church

Britt - Mrs. Nora Hansen, 77, died Sunday night at the Hancock Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 5, 1880, in Cornell, Ill., the daughter of John and Athena Isaacson Mitchell.

She was married Dec. 16, 1904, to Arthur G. Hansen, Dwight, Ill., They first lived at Cornell, then moved to Britt in 1912. Her husband was in the monument business here and was cemetery sexton. He died Oct. 22, 1931.

She is survived by three daughters and three sons. They are Mrs. Victor (Laura) Totten, and Mrs. Arthur (Lucille) Holck, Minneapolis; Mrs. Everett (June) Attig, Wesley; James, Waterloo; Thomas, Clear Lake; and Richard, Minneapolis. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and four sisters.

Preceding her in death, beside her husband, were four children, Melton and Mildred, both 2, in 1914; Lila, 4, in 1921, and Pathena, 32, who was killed in an auto accident in 1940.

Mrs. Hansen had been a very active member of the Church of the Nazarene and its organization.

Funeral services will be in the Church of the Nazarene Wednesday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Stuart Abele officiating. The Boughton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
