Arthur Dewey dies in Britt; Rites Thursday

Britt - Arthur Dewey, 82, died Monday. Born in 1879 in Sutton, England, he came here with his wife and two daughters in 1911. He farmed near Britt unitl retiring 10 years ago. His wife died in 1952.

Surviving are six children, Mrs. Bill (Florence) Earles, Britt; Mrs. Barbara Earles, Mason City; William, Mason City; Charles, Britt; Mrs. Viola Mattoon, Humboldt; Earnest, Clear Lake; and four brothers.

Funeral service will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Osman Funeral Chapel and at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church here. The Rev. Warren S. Paige will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Britt.
