Last Rites at Britt for Retired Farmer

Britt - Funeral services for August Bratt, 83, will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Boughton funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the Bethel Baptist church, the Rev. B. A. Rust officiating. Burial in Evergreen cemetery. He died at a rest home here Thursday.

He was a native of Sweden and came with his parents to this country in 1870. He was married to Anna Cummings on March 1, 1894, and farmed near Waterloo until 1910 when they came to a farm near Britt. They later retired and moved to Britt where Mrs. Bratt died in 1926.

Surviving are the following children: Mrs. E. Jacobsen, Whittier, Cal.; Mrs. Luella Hansmeier, Crystal Lake; Mrs. Roy Volding, Britt; Fred Bratt, Miami, Fla.; Victor Bratt, Austin, Minn.; Mrs. Ted Bruhn, Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Fred Claude, Minneapolis. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Emma Olson, Blandenville, Ill.
