Otis Anfinson, Park Custodian, Dies at Britt

Britt - Otis Anfinsin, 69, a retired farmer and present custodian of the city parks, died Sunday evening at the Hancock Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Boughton Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist Church here. The Rev. Warren Page will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Britt.

The son of Anfin and Karen Jacobson Anfinson, he was born June 24, 1889, at Ellsworth. He was married Feb. 14, 1912, to Eva Johnson at Webster City. They farmed near Ellsworth and Bassett and came to the Britt-Woden area in 1921. In 1951 they moved to Britt.

Survivors are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Carl Pals, Wesley; a son, Donald, Minneapolis; six grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Mary Buckels, Jewell; a brother, Joe Anfinson, Turlock, Calif. A sister and two brothers preceded him in death.
