Loebig, 55, Dies at Wesley; Funeral Will Be Conducted Tuesday
Wesley - Funeral services for Eugene N. Loebig, 55, who died suddenly Saturday night at 11 o'clock, will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at the St. Joseph's Catholic church with the Rev. A. J. Wagner in charge.
Mr. Loebig was born Sept. 11, 1880, at Iowa Falls and came to Wesley in the 90's. He was married to Miss Clara Matern, to which union were born seven children, Mrs. Edwina Neuroth of Mounds, La., Mrs. Ruth Sherman of Wesley, Mrs. Hetly Gibson of Thompson, Mrs. Edna Kerrins of Wesley, K. Lewis of Wesley, Michael at Robbins, Iowa, and Eugene at home. His wife died about five year ago, Mr. Loebig later being married to Mrs. Matilda Opdahl who together with the seven children and three stepchildren, survive. He is also survived by five sisters, Mrs. Fred Dole of Eldora, Mrs. John Dole of Johnstown, Colo., Mrs. John Huber of Buffalo Center, Mrs. Rufus Welter of Corwith, Mrs. B. U. Brockling of Independence and three brothers, Frank Loebig of Lismore, Minn., John and Ed Loebig of Wesley.
