William Gunsell Kanawha Resident Died Monday, Nov. 26

Passed On At Iowa City Hospital; Death Result Of Kidney Infection

Kanawha - William Gunsell, resident of Kanawha for the past thirty-five years, passed on Monday morning, November 26, at about 2 o'clock, at an Iowa City hospital.

Mr. Gunsell was taken to Iowa City last Tuesday, suffering from a kidney infection.

William Gunsell was born in Norway 77 years ago. His wife and four daughters mourn his passing. The daughters are, Wilma, Mrs. Cyril Kramer, Remsen; Ethel, Mrs. Orris Atchison, Oskaloosa; Sadie, Mrs. Tom Dahl and Shirley, Mrs. Jasper Ersland, of Kanawha.

Nine grandchildren and one great grandchild also mourn.

Mr. Gunsell was a native of Etne, Norway, having been born there Feb.22 1857. He came to America in 1870, locating at Helmer, Ill, where he remained until he came to Hancock county in 1894. Fro ten years he and his family resided upon a farm near Kanawha, and then retired to the town of Kanawha where he has resided ever since. He was a member of the Norwegian church of America.

Funeral services are being held this afternoon. A short service at the home at 1:30 o'clock and at the Lutheran church at 2 o'clock. Both services in charge at Rev. N. A. Gangsei. Burial will be in Kanawha cemetery.
