Mrs. A. W. Clark, Britt Many Years Hancock Resident, Buried Fri.

Had Lived In Vicinity Of Britt Continuously For Forty Three Years

Britt - Mrs. A. W. Clark passed away at her home in Britt at 10 o'clock Tuesday night, January 8, 1935, following a lingering illness of several months.

Frances Ann Raw was born at Big Patch, Wis., January 26, 1859, a daughter of Simon and Leah Raw. On September 15, 1885, she became the wife of Albert W. Clark. Only one child, Glen, was born to this union. They left Wisconsin in 1861 and came to Sheffield, Iowa, where they lived until 1892, when they came to Hancock county, which has since been her home. Mr. Clark died December 31 1931.

Besides her son, Glen, Mrs. Clark will be mourned by three brothers and four sisters. They are W. W. Raw, Britt; Simon of Lemmon S. D.; Frank, of Denver, Colo; and Mrs. Mary Bird of Denver, Colo.; Mrs. A. M. Deyoe, Des Moines; Miss Sadie Raw of Mt. Pleasant, Utah; Mrs. Nellie Madole, in Oklahoma; also one grandchild, Clarence Clark, of Albert Lea, Minn.

Mrs. Clark was an active worker in the Methodist church, Sunday school, Missionary society and Social union, and will be sadly missed by her many friends and
co-workers.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Friday afternoon with the Rev. C. N. McMillan officiating. Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery.
