FRED G. HUNSLEY
LAID TO REST

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. F. F. Robinson, were held in the Methodist church Monday for Fred G. Hunsley, long time resident of Hancock county, who died at his home January 11, following six weeks illness. He had reached the age of 69 years, 11 months and nine days.

Fred G. Hunsley was born February 2, 1876, a son of Henry and Sarah Jane Hunsley in England. In 1881 the family came to the United States and lived at Oakley, Illinois. until 1893 when they moved to Hancock county, near Stilson.

He was united in marriage to Anna F. Nall on September 7, 1898 at Stilson.

Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn his passing, five sons and five daughters. These are: Byron L., Henry, Harold E., Elwin E. and Lee E., all of Britt: Mrs. Ben Higdon, Jr., of Britt: Mrs. Reginald R. Slender, of Washington, D. C.: Mrs. Elgin Johnson, of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. E.F. Phillips, of Des Moines, and Mrs. Louis Rust, of Kanawha. Also surviving are two brothers, Ernest of Canada, and Ray, of Britt; and two sisters, Mrs. Alden Thompson, of Britt, and Mrs. John Schwab, of Lafayette, Ind. There are eight grandchildren.

He was a member of the Methodist church and for many years sang with the church choir. He also was an active member of the I.O.O.F. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery.
