Florence Albers was born March 17, 1911 near Klemme the oldest of the three children born to Dick and Frances (Behrends) Swalve. She was baptized June 18, 1911 at the Klemme Church of Christ. She received her education in a rural school south of Klemme. Florence was confirmed in the Klemme United Church of Christ in 1927, by Reverend Grosschuck. Florence was united in marriage to John Albers on December 18, 1930. Being the first couple married in the newly built church.

They made their home two and a half miles west of Klemme for a number of years until they built a new home in Klemme and then retired there. Florence and John spent 5 years in Texas for the winter months. John was preceded in death on November 2, 1989. She continued to live in her Klemme home until her health forced her into the Klemme Apartments. There after she then moved to be with her family as she resided at the Twilight Acres Nursing Home in Wall Lake.

Florence enjoyed various activities such as Senior Citizens, Grandmothers Club, Widows and Bridge. In her earlier years she taught Sunday School attended Bible Class and other church activities. Florence enjoyed reading and loved to stay knowledgeable of current events. She especially loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Those left to cherish the memory of Florence is her son Carroll (Mari) Albers Garner, IA; Her ten grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.

Florence is preceded in by her husband John; son Gene; parents Dick and Frances; sister Carrie; and a great-grandson.

Those wishing to contribute a memorial in memory of Florence may wish to consider Twilight Acres Nursing Home in Wall Lake.
