Services for Kenneth Schultz, 84, Garner, who died Thursday, July 5, 1990 at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt, were held 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 9 at the United Methodist Church in Garner with Rev. Robert Ellis as officiant.

Mrs. Richard Johnson was organist. Ushers were Marvin Schoneman and Vern Butz. Casket bearers were Clarence Hrubes, Ben Klinge, Dean Hrubes, Larry Schisel, Don Larkin and Merle Brown.

Burial was in Ells Township Cemetery in Klemme . Visitation was held at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner.

Kenneth Albert Schultz, the son of Frank and Theresa (Cummings) Schultz, was born January 15, 1906 at Plymouth. He attended school at Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1925.

March 19, 1930, he married Myrtle Gast at Albert Lea, MN. They farmed in the Miller and Garner areas, until they retired in the middle 1970's. In 1976, they moved into Garner. They had celebrated their Sixtieth Wedding Anniversary this year.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Men's Club.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Schultz; his daughter, Mrs. Darlene Smith and her husband, Glen of Wesley; his granddaughter, Judy Heyer and her husband, Craig of Titonka; three great-grandchildren, Jason, Sarah and Rachel; a sister, Mrs. Florence Sutton of Mason City; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Gladys Robey of Mason City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Terry Smith and Randy Smith; his parents; an infant sister; his brother, Harold Schultz, and an infant brother.
