GARNER — Raymond F. Goll, 92, of Garner, passed away Thursday (Oct. 12, 2000) at the Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, with the Rev. Darrell Weber officiating. Interment will be at Peace Reformed Cemetery south of Garner.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Cataldo Funeral Home in Garner and will continue one hour before services on Saturday at the church.

Raymond Fredrick Goll, the son of Charles J. and Emma E. (Greiman) Goll, was born July 10, 1908, on a farm south of Garner. He attended the rural schools of Ell Township and Garner High School. He lived on the home farm near Garner with his parents and later moved into Garner with them in 1950.

In the 1960s he moved to Duncan Heights and in December of 1990 he moved to Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City. Raymond had been paralyzed since he was eight years old due to polio.

He enjoyed farming, woodworking and singing. He was a member of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church.

He is survived by two sisters, Vola Jass, of Garner and Jeroldene Stricker and her husband, Ralph, of Mason City; two sisters-in-law, Kathryn Goll of Garner and Frances Gray and her husband, Robert, of Garner; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Luella Braun; four brothers, Harvey, Leon, Alfred and Lincoln Goll; two brothers-in-law, Clint Braun and Leo Jass; and two sisters-in-law, Marie Goll and Marjorie Goll.
