WILBUR LLOYD HAEFNER
Wilbur Haefner was born May 8, 1903 in Liberty township, Hancock County, to J. W. and Alice Schuldt Haefner. He attended the local schools and was confirmed in the Methodist church in Liberty township. On November 1, 1927 he was married to Esther Beier at Klemme. He farmed until 1949 and then drove a truck for the Klemme Elevator. The past two years he has been taking
care of the Klemme golf course.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Surviving are his wife, Esther and two daughters, Gloria (Mrs. Frank) Sherwood of Mason City and Margaret (Mrs. Larry) Bruner of Iowa City. Also surviving are two brothers, Rufus Haefner of Edgerton, Wisconsin, and Paul Haefner of Winfield, Illinois and 4 grandchildren.
