Hospice ChaplainHazel Elizabeth Burgart, the daughter of Bud and Georgia (Belle) Hull, was born May 9, 1924 at Garner. She attended school in Garner. Hazel lived in Garner where she raised her children and worked as a waitress at Hull's Cafe and the Longhorn Cafe for fifty-five years. On July 14, 1969 she was married to Elmer Burgart at Canton, SD. Elmer passed away in 1087. Hazel enjoyed spending her time having coffee with her friends, Louise, Helen, Ruby and Dewey. She loved her family and especially her job as a waitress.
Hazel is survived by her six children, Nancy Carbajal of Garner, Violet Huerta and her husband, Bill, of Stockton, CA, James Ward and his wife, Marge, of Mason City, David Ward and his wife, Sue, of Omaha, NE, Kathy Smith of Garner and Barbara Witt and her husband, Scott, of Kanawha; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild;
and many dear nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her beloved father and mother, Bud and rt Georgia Hull; her cherished children, Edward and Robert her husband, Elmer; two brothers, Benny and LeRoy Hull; and a sister, Irene Daniels.
