ERWIN LEONARD ALBERT LAU

Erwin Leonard Albert Lau was born in Klemme, Iowa July 24, 1902, at the home of his parents,
Mary and Henry Lau.

He attended the Methodist Sunday School and the Klemme Public School, graduating from the
eleventh grade in the year 1919 (before Klemme had twelve grades).

As a boy he helped in his father's implement business and continued this work throughout his
life. When the father, Henry Lau, passed away, the three brothers, George, Wesley, and Erwin
formed a partnership, the H. Lau Sons.

Erwin continued to run this business to the best of his ability until the time of his death
on April 14, at the age of 76 years, 8 months and 21 days. This marks the closing of this 90
year Lau business firm.

He leaves to mourn his death a sister Leona, with whom he lived, and a brother Lloyd. His
parents preceded him in death as did three brothers: Will, George and Wesley and five
sisters: Lillie, Esther, Martha, Nellie and Mamie.
