SERVICES SET ON THURSDAY FOR MRS. ANNA WIGTON

Retired in 1944 as Assistant Postmistress

Mrs. Cleon F. (Anna F.) Wigton died Tuesday morning at the Hancock Memorial Hospital after an illness of several months.

Mrs. Wigton was the daughter of Andrew and Birthine Aageson. She was born at Somonauk, Ill., on June 2, 1884, moving to Britt with her parents in May 1889.

She received her education in the Britt schools and worked for the Western Electric Telephone Company in 1903 and 1904. In the fall of 1904 she began work in the Britt post office as a clerk and later became assistant postmistress retiring on July 1, 1944.

On Feb. 5, 1944, she married Cleon Wigton, who survives her. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Jene Hammill, Des Moines; Mrs. A. H. (Elsie) Heidner, West Bend, Wisc.; Mrs. Ray (Agnes) Kelly, Britt and a brother, Dr. A. W. Aageson of Madison, Wisc.; two nephews: Richard Heidner, Libertyville, Ill., and Andrew R. Heidner, Milwaukee, Wisc.; four great nieces and one great grand niece. Also a stepson, Cleon F. Wigton, Jr., and a step daughter, Mrs. N. H. (Pauline) Streeter, and their families all of Tacoma, Wash.

Mrs. Wigton was active in church and club work and at the time of her death, was a member of the Congregational Church, King's Daughter's and the Hospital Auxiliary.

Services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m. at the Osman Funeral Home with Rev. W. R. Thomas officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
