DEATH CLAIMS A LONG TIE BRITT RESIDENT

Mrs. Andrew Aageson Made Home in Britt Fifty-Three Years

Mrs. Andrew Aageson, who had made her home in Britt since May 1889, passed peacefully away at her home on West First street on Tuesday morning, Sept 8, 1942, aged 82 years, 9 months, 23 days. She was born at Naskov, Lolland, Denmark, Nov. 15, 1859. In early life she was baptised and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Her maiden name was Birthine Hansene Jorgensen.

As a young woman twenty-three years old she came to America in the summer of 1882. It was on January 13, 1883, that she united in marriage with Andrew Aageson, the ceremony taking place at Somonauk, Ill. The couple resided there until May 1889 when they came to Britt which has since that time been their home.

Eight children were born of this union, three sons having preceded her in death. Survivors are the husband, Andrew Aageson, four daughters and one son: Miss Anna Aageson, at home; Mrs. Jene Hammill, of Des Moines; Mrs. A. H. Heidner, of West Bend, Wis.; Mrs. R. W. Kelly, of Britt; Dr Carl W. Aageson, of Madison, Wis. Ehere are five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. One sister resides in Denmark.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock at the Congregational church, the Rev. A. R. Larson officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery, Britt.

Aageson Rites To Be Thursday

Native of Denmark Survived by Husband and Five Children

Britt - Funeral services for Mrs. Anrew Aageson, 83, who died Tuesday morning, will be held Thursday afternoon with a prayer service at 2 o'clock at the Wigton funeral home and 2:30 o'clock at the Congregational church with the Rev. A. R. Larson in charge. Burial will be in Britt Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. Aageson was born in Noskou, Lolland, Denmark, Nov. 15, 1859. Mr. and Mrs. Aageson have lived in Britt the past 53 years.

Surviving are her husband and following children: Dr. Carl Aageson of Madison Wis.; Mrs. Albion Heidner of West Bend,Wis.; Mrs. Ray Kelly and Ann Aageson of Britt and Mrs. Jene Hammill of Des Moines. Two sons preceded her in death.
