EFFIE E BURNS RITES SATURDAY AT BRITT

Britt – Mrs. Effie E. Burns, 93, died Wednesday at the Good Samaritan Home, Mason City. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Boughton Funeral Home here. The Rev. Warren S. Paige will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.

The daughter of Martin and Caroline Ellis, she was born October 5, 1868, at Brandon, Wisconsin. She was married to Lewis Burns at Dakota City in 1888. He died in 1926.

Surviving are a son, Robert, Lake Mills; a daughter, Mrs. Alex (Leita) Steffen, Portland, Ore.; and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter and a son.
