Otto Larson was born in Walby, Sweden, May 30, 1885, to Lars and Maria Olson. He came to America with friends when he was 17 and lived in various towns in Iowa, finally settling in Britt, where he farmed for several years.
On December 6, 1911, he was united in marriage to Minnie Swanson. Two children were born to this union, Donald and Mariam. In 1950 the Larsons moved to a farm just south of Monticello, Minn.
Otto was a born Christian, for almost 50 years and a faithful member of the Evangelical Free Church in Britt and attended the Monticello Aliance Church until failing health prevented him from doing so.
He passed away, after several years of illness, on Oct. 26 at his home in Monticello. He was 73 years of age.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie, his son, Donald of Britt and daughter, Mariam of Minneapolis.
Services were held in Monticello Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, Oct. 28, with Rev. Harry L. Noll officiating.
Following the service the remains were taken to Britt, for services at the Evangelical Free Church Oct. 29, with Rev. Streed officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.Newspaper Clipping from Family Collection.
